Mustang Offense Too Much for Trappers on Saturday

 On Saturday in Rock Springs the Western Wyoming team faced the Northwest College Trappers.  This was the third Region IX match of the week for the Mustangs.

The first half had a lot of chances for the Mustangs but the ball just did not seem to want to go into the net for the Mustangs.  The half time score was 0 - 0 but the play was dominated by the Mustangs.

Thankfully for the Mustangs the ball found the back of the net in the second half.  Goals were scored by the Mustangs in the 58th, 74th and 83rd minutes.  The first goal was scored by Landon Jacobsen assisted by Alan Wendlandt.  The second goal was netted by Jose Rincon assisted by Nate Cutler.  The final goal was by an outstanding individual play by sophomore Alan Wendlandt.  The final score was WWCC 3 - NWC 0.  The record for the Mustangs is now 8 - 2 - 3.  This was the third shutout of the week for the Mustangs.

Mustang Men of the Match:  Landon Jacobsen for the first goal of the match and great play throughout the week.  Alan Wendlandt for a left footed assist and an unassisted amazing goal.
