Kortny Lancaster a 2011 Rock Springs High graduate from Rock Springs WY has committed to play again for Western Wyoming Mustang Soccer.  Kortny played his freshman season for Western Wyoming in the fall of 2011.  Kortny has been working in the community and he also served a two year LDS mission to Guatemala.

As a freshman at Western Kortny played as a central defender and recorded 2 shots, 1 assist, started 1 match and played in 22 halves.

Kortny is a big body with good touch on the ball and the ability to win a lot of the balls in the air.  He uses anticipation and soccer knowledge to help him to be in good positions as a center back.  We also anticipate that Kortny can find playing time as an outside defender and a center defensive mid.  He is a very positive influence and a great teammate.

Kortny is a great student and was a Pre-Med Major at Western.  We know that he will continue to strive to do well in the academic realm and lead the 2015 Mustangs towards a NJCAA academic team award.

Kortny's parents are Tom and Jan, his siblings are; Aspen, Brook and Seth.  His older brother Seth was also a WWCC Mustang during the 2006 season.

As a high school student Kortny used his physical size and skill to letter 3 times for Rock Springs High Soccer.  He helped the RSHS Tigers appear two times at the Wyoming State Cup during his three years as a varsity athlete.

We are excited to have Kortny back in the Western Wyoming Mustang Soccer family and know that he will continue to work hard and do whatever is necessary to help the team succeed.
