Offense Rolls vs SLCC in Utah

 On Saturday April 25th the Western Wyoming Men's Soccer class concluded their spring season with a double header of scrimmages.  The first scrimmage was at Salt Lake Community College.


This was the first meeting between WWCC and SLCC since the fall 2010 season.  The scoring started quickly for the Mustangs when Eric Ramirez sent a headed ball to Gunner Burrell who sent it past the SLCC keeper in the 8th minute.  Landon Jacobsen added to the WWCC total in the 21st minute with a penalty kick score.  Taylor Flitton continued his free kick expertise scoring in the 41st minute.  Austin Pinter played as keeper in the first half and recorded 2 saves with no goals.  The halftime score was WWCC 3 - SLCC 0.


In the second half the Mustangs continued the dominance on the field and in the score column.  Gunner Burrell finished his brace when scoring off of a Flitton assist in the 48th minute.  Zac Roper added another goal from the penalty spot in the 56th minute.  Riley Gibson scored in the 59th minute to finish the WWCC scoring, assisted by Gunner Burrell.  SLCC got on the scoreboard in the 79th minute.  Kyle Mivshek played as keeper in the second half and had 5 saves.  The final score to the scrimmage was WWCC 6 - SLCC 1.
