WWCC 3 - Alumni 1

On Saturday in Rock Springs WY the 2014 Western Wyoming Mustangs played against the Spartan and Mustang Alumni from the previous seasons.

There were 11 alumni that attended and played against the current Mustangs;

We appreciate so much the alumni that attended the match and give it their all for the benefit of the current team.

The match was fairly evenly matched and was very enjoyable to watch.  The 2014 Mustangs were the only side to score in the first half, the first goal was scored in the 25th minute when Brock Mosier attacked the side of the goal and assisted Zac Roper who scored.  The halftime score was 1 - 0 in favor of the current Mustangs.

In the second half the current Mustangs seemed to be able to show more of their offensive muscle and scored twice within a 2 minute span.  The second goal was in the 66th minute when Levi Tams was assisted by Gunner Burrell.  The third goal was scored by Brock Mosier who placed it to the left of the alumni keeper Taylor Whetman in the 68th minute.  Eight minutes before the final whistle the 2014 Mustangs were whistled for a penalty kick, Matt Robles the current assistant coach for the Mustangs stepped up and buried the shot against the WWCC Mustang keeper Carlos Gonzalez.  The final score at the end of 90 minutes was 2014 Mustangs 3 - WWCC Alumni 1.
